Improve user experience for the existing app

01 Project

I was asked to re-think and re-design user journey for an existing app that is well know on the market. It was technically heavy project that required not only understanding of how people  employ the app in their daily taks, but also a deeper understanding of the technical context and its possibilities and limitations. My work for this project is under NDA. This shows only main details about the project and my learnings.

02 My role

UX lead: improve user experience and optimise task flow, so that people using the app are taken by hand on every screen. Provide input to UI designer and together create company’s design system for mobile.

03 Challenge

The main challenge was to design a solution that is in line with technical limitations and at the same time supports users in their tasks.

04 Process

05 Outcome

Me design deliveries for this project were a high-fidelity wireframe in XD and user flow in Overflow.

06 Learnings

Once again, I got confirmed that my technical background is a huge advantage for me as UX designer.

I am confident in situations, where I have to analyse technically complex setup that is integrated part of a digital solution. Understanding of the technical setup helped me to define presets for the app. Furthermore, that knowledge informed my decisions on which information to hide and which present upfront.
