App within health sector – App A
01 Project
I was asked to design user journey for a brand new app for people with intimate heath care. My work for this project is under NDA. This shows only main details about the project and my learnings.
02 My role
UX lead: User Experience consultant with responsibility for the development of digital user experience
Product Owner: identifying features, managing backlog, evaluating deliveries, stakeholder management
03 Challenge
The project began just before covid-19 hit the world. Suddenly, everyone, including myself had to figure out and adapt to new ways of working and collaborating. Working entirely at home while at the same time taking care of the family and schooling kids at home called for some serious time management.
The context of the app (health sector) was new for me. I am driven by knowledge and new experiences, so this rewording, but also challenging. Talking to potential customers about their experiences and gathering their input on prototype called for new methods and in general new approaches to testing.
04 Process
05 Outcome
UX lead: my design deliveries for this project were a high-fidelity wireframe in Figma and user flow in Overflow.
The app was available in 3 countries.
Product Owner: prioritised list of features – backlog for grooming, planning, implementation or releases.
06 Learnings
This entire period that I spent on his project was learning: learning to deal with covid-19 challenges, learning to perform interviews with potential customers within health sector, learning to deal with a complex project setup.
On top of that I got confidence in standing in front and taking responsibility when “the ship starts drowning”. I also learned that dedicated and motivated team can turn any project up side down within a short period of time.
